Terms and Conditions for the Use of Whitney Toll Bridge as of 03rd October 2023

General Use: The Whitney Toll Bridge is intended for the use of pedestrians, cyclists, and motor vehicles. All users must adhere to the posted guidelines and regulations.

Toll Payment: All vehicles using the bridge are subject to a toll fee. The fee must be paid upon entry. Failure to pay the toll fee may result in penalties or legal action. Toll Fees

Safety: All users must adhere to safety guidelines. This includes, but is not limited to, obeying speed limits, wearing safety gear (for cyclists and pedestrians), and ensuring vehicles are in good working condition.

Hours of Operation: The bridge operates 24 hours a day. Users are granted access at any time but must adhere to all terms and conditions.

Right of Refusal: The management reserves the right to refuse entry to any user who does not adhere to the terms and conditions or poses a safety risk.

Verbal or Physical Abuse: The employees and or guests of Whitney Bridge have the right to work in a safe environment. We will report and seek to prosecute to the full extent of the law any verbal or physical abuse towards our staff, and or guests of Whitney Toll Bridge and associated companies.

Liability: Users of the bridge do so at their own risk. The management will not be held liable for any accidents, damages, or injuries that occur on the bridge.

Maintenance and Closures: The bridge may be closed for maintenance or due to adverse weather conditions. Users are advised to check for updates before using the bridge.

Prohibited Activities: The following activities are prohibited on the bridge:

Littering

Stopping or parking vehicles (unless in an emergency)

Any form of vandalism or damage to the bridge structure

Use of the bridge for any illegal activities

Jumping off the bridge

Fishing from the bridge

Emergencies: In case of an emergency, users should contact the local authorities immediately and follow any instructions provided by bridge personnel.

Fines and Penalties: By using the bridge, users accept the terms and conditions, which include the levying of fines for violations. Failure to adhere to these terms may result in penalties or legal action.

Amendments: These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time. Users are advised to review them regularly.

Feedback and Complaints: Any feedback or complaints relating to the use of the Toll Bridge or access roads should be made in writing to the Toll Master of Whitney Toll Bridge or their designated representative.

CCTV Operation: For the safety and security of all bridge users and to ensure compliance with these terms and conditions, CCTV cameras operate on and around the Whitney Toll Bridge 24 hours a day.

Data Collection and Storage: Footage captured by the CCTV cameras is stored securely and is only accessed by authorized personnel for legitimate purposes, such as monitoring safety, investigating incidents, or ensuring compliance with the terms of use.

GDPR Compliance: All personal data captured, including CCTV footage, is handled and stored in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This means:

Data is processed lawfully, fairly, and transparently.

Data is collected for specified, explicit, and legitimate purposes and not further processed in a manner that is incompatible with those purposes.

Data is kept accurate and up to date.
